PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make stable impact resistance and high fluidity compatible at a higher level. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method comprises supplying a preblend material, which is formed by incorporating into a powdered polyphenylene ether one or more compounds selected from maleic acid, citric acid, fumaric acid and an anhydride thereof having a powdery or granular shape, into an extruder using a supplying apparatus different from the one for the remaining polyphenylene ether.
