<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retainer having a blocking element at its inlet and a tether belt (an engaging portion) connected to the blocking element resisting the extraction of a component held by the retainer. <P>SOLUTION: This retainer for holding a nut, a bolt, and the other components comprises a pocket for maintaining a part of the components thereon and for forming an inlet opening part for inserting the components. The flexible blocking element is disposed in the opening part and overcomes an insertion pressure so that the components can advance into the pocket.
