PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security function attached image processing apparatus for recording history information of input output images in order to be make when, where, how an image is processed traceable that realizes capability of efficiently recording image data without omission and of easily making the image data traceable. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus includes: a security real image recording means for recording a real image at an input of an image to the image processing apparatus; a composite reference image recording means for recording reference information with an input image in cross-reference with an output image at an output of a composite image from the image processing apparatus; a composite image recording means for recording the real image at an output of a composite image from the image processing apparatus; and an image recording method selection means for selecting the composite reference image recording means or the composite image recording means at an output of a composite image from the image processing apparatus, and the image processing apparatus records its accompanying information to a security unit.
