PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a multifunctional electronic circuit allowing a multiplication circuit using a Gilbert cell to be usable as an amplifier circuit with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The multiplication circuit 1 is composed by using the Gilbert cell provided with three differential pairs of transistors "12, 13", "14, 15", and "16, 17". Current sources 31, 32 are controlled so as to execute ON-operation and OFF-operation with the inverse relationship to each other in a switching circuit 2. When the current source 31 executes the ON-operation, three differential pairs of the transistors "12, 13", "14, 15", and "16, 17" are in a state capable of executing multiplication operation for obtaining "IN1×IN2=OUT". When the current source 32 executes the ON-operation, a bias current path from a connection point (A) toward grounding GND is formed and a differential pair of the transistors "12, 13" is in a state capable of executing amplification operation for obtaining "OUT generated by amplifying the IN1".
