PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line control system capable of surely preventing the occurrence of operational mistake. SOLUTION: The line control system discriminates a system of a video audio signal whose transmission is started from an external system on the basis of a trigger signal transmitted from the external system and automatically displays a corresponding switching control menu. Since a switching button of a display area 223 in a condition monitoring area corresponding to a type of the discriminated signal and a signal format on the displayed switching control menu is blinked, an operator can momentarily discriminate that from which system and with what kind of signal type and signal format the video audio signal arrives. Further, the operator selects a signal type button 242 the color of the signal type representing characters of which is changed into red in a selection area 231 through the operation of a mouse and achieves switching control of a matrix switcher 102 with a simple operation of clicking the switching button 251 by the mouse.
