DISCRIMINATING DEVICE FOR PAPER SHEETS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the truth/falsehood determination capability of paper money or the like by using a plurality of magnetic sensors and detecting characteristics of a magnetic body printed on the paper money. SOLUTION: This discriminating device for paper sheets has a first sensor 15 for detecting the magnetic permeability of a magnetic body 106 included in the paper sheet 1 and a second sensor 16 for detecting the residual magnetization of the magnetic body included in the paper sheet and uses signals detected by the first sensor and the second sensor to discriminate the paper sheet.
