PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically obtain disaster prevention information for a specified area by use of a server giving disaster prevention information and a personal computer or a cellular phone even in a case where visitors are concentrated to a browsing homepage in the event of disaster or the like, and disaster prevention information cannot be obtained by the jammed line. SOLUTION: This disaster prevention information providing system by e-mail comprises personal computers and cellular phones of residents whose mail addresses, addresses and areas are preliminarily registered, and a server automatically generating disaster prevention information for specified areas. E-mail containing a mail address of a resident and a specified area is transmitted from the personal computer or cellular phone of the resident to the server, and disaster prevention information for the specified area which is automatically generated in response to the received mail is returned from the server to the personal computer or cellular phone of the resident.
