PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a classification apparatus, method and program capable of determining classification means using unclassified samples without assuming the distribution of characteristic information. SOLUTION: A correlation element for each class is calculated on the basis of the correlation element of a classified sample classified into a class and on the correlation element of an unclassified sample. Based on the correlation element, a classification means for each class is determined about the sample inputted.
