PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method by which quick start is possible, a halftone portion shows excellent low temperature offset resistance and high temperature offset resistance, and preferable fixing property is obtained. SOLUTION: The image forming method including steps of heating, pressurizing and fixing a toner image t1 on a transfer material P by a heating and pressurizing means 100 to form a fixed image t2 on the transfer material is characterized in that: the heating and pressurizing means has a magnetic field generating means 17 and a rotating heating member 10 comprising at least a heat generating layer generating heat by electromagnetic induction and a release layer; the toner forming the toner image comprises at least a binder resin, a colorant, a release agent and a specified oxycarboxylic acid; and the mass of an oxycarboxylic acid extracted from one gram of the toner in a strong alkali aqueous solution is specified.
