PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sorting apparatus of a columnar materials capable of continuously sorting the columnar materials without stopping the rotation of a rotary drum to simply take out the columnar materials having a prescribed length or below. SOLUTION: The sorting apparatus of the pillar materials is equipped with the rotary drum 2 having recessed parts provided to its inner peripheral surface and fitting the columnar materials having a prescribed length or below among the charged columnar materials in the recessed parts to scoop up them by rotation, a rotary means 3 for rotating the rotary drum, the receiving part 4 installed in the rotary drum and having an opening, which receives the columnar materials scooped up to fall, provided to its upper part and a discharge port, which discharges the columnar materials, provided to its bottom part, the trough 5 extended to the outside of the rotary drum from the discharge port to feed out the columnar materials discharged from the receiving part to the outside of the rotary drum, a receiving part vibrating means 6 for vibrating the receiving part in the feed-out direction of the columnar materials and a trough vibrating means 7 for vibrating the trough.
