PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peeling device and a label pasting apparatus which can peel a peeling sheet from a sheet shaped label and then paste the label sheet after peeled on an object to be labelled. SOLUTION: According to the apparatus, the peeling sheet S is peeled from the sheet-shaped label L which is made by pasting the label sheet L1 temporarily on the peeling sheet S, and the label sheet L1 is pasted on the object W to be labelled. The apparatus includes a label holding means 12 which holds the label L, a supporting means 13 which supports the label L at a peeling position, a peeling means 15 which includes a peeling roll 33 on which a peeling tape T is wound, and a carrying means 16 which carrying the object W to be labelled. The peeling roll 33 is capable of advancing/retreating in a direction where the roll 33 is not parallel with each perpendicular line perpendicular to two edges forming the corners of the label L in a plane.
