A measuring device 1 for immunochromatographic test strip 5 a is configured to irradiate measurement light onto the immunochromatographic test strip 5 a and to measure light from the immunochromatographic test strip 5 a, and is provided with a photodiode 3 a for receiving the light from the immunochromatographic test strip 5 a, and a measuring head 4 disposed between the immunochromatographic test strip 5 a and the photodiode 3 a and having a plurality of light paths 3 b , 3 b , 3 b , 3 b for guiding part of the light from the immunochromatographic test strip 5 a to the photodiode 3 a. The measuring head 4 functions as a light shielding member for shielding against unwanted light reflected on the immunochromatographic test strip 5 a. The plurality of light paths 3 b , 3 b , 3 b , 3 b are juxtaposed along a direction in which a colored portion 8 of line shape formed on the immunochromatographic test strip 5 a extends.
