<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus reducing a power consumption needed for preventing the dew condensation of each component inside the image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: When a user commands power OFF of the image forming apparatus, a date and time to be accumulated and stored when the user turns power of the image forming apparatus ON are read from a memory 43 and a date and time when the power of the image forming apparatus is turned ON next are predicted in a control part 46. A value measured by temperature and humidity measurement part and 40 to be accumulated and stored is read from the memory 43, and temperature outside the apparatus, temperature inside the apparatus and humidity inside the apparatus at the data and time when the power of the image forming apparatus is turned ON next, which is predicted in the control part 46, are calculated. Then, when the control part 46 confirms that the dew condensation is generated in the respective reflecting mirrors 13b, 14a inside the image forming apparatus at the date and time to be predicted when the power of the image forming apparatus is turned on, a dew condensation prevention control function becomes ON when the power of the image forming apparatus is OFF and ON/OFF control of power of a dew condensation prevention heater 19 is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
