<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst molded body having an excellent abrasion resistance suitable for, for example, denitrification treatment of a dust containing exhaust gas. <P>SOLUTION: The molded body of a porous catalyst has channels passing through the molded body along the direction of gas stream with their openings on both ends, whereon silica is deposited so that the occlusion ratio of the total pores becomes 1 to 35% and the ratio of the occluded pore volume of the pores of a pore diameter of 0.01 to 0.1 μm relative to the occluded pore volume of the total pores becomes 6 to 50%. It is preferable to deposit silica within the 15% range of the total length of the molded body from the gas inlet, namely from the upstream end of the molded body or the channels. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
