<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recycling used heat-resistant and highly functional spun yarn products such as of wholly aromatic polyamide fiber for the purpose of reusing the products as yarn in particular, and to provide recycled heat-resistant and highly functional spun yarn obtained by the method. <P>SOLUTION: The method for recycling used heat-resistant and highly functional spun yarn products 31 comprises previously washing the products 31 as desired followed by subjecting the products 31 to disaggregative treatment, opening the disaggregated product into wool-like mass 32, which is then spun to form the objective recycled yarn.
