PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an electric motor while simplifying a vehicle body component and reducing the weight in a power steering device for a vehicle equipped with a torque sensor, the electric motor activated according to the detection value of the torque sensor, and a transmission mechanism transmitting a rotational power of the electric motor to a steering wheel side. SOLUTION: A cross member 35 bent so as to form a recessed part 36 is provided on the vehicle body, and at least the electric motor 55 among the torque sensor, the electric motor 55, and the transmission mechanism is disposed in the recessed part 36.
