PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce, in a simple configuration, mounting space for signal lines used for an absolute value encoder and the number of ports used for a control device. SOLUTION: A brush contact 37 is moved relative to a zoomed position detecting section 33 that has a pattern composed of conductive parts and non-conductive parts. The absolute position of the brush contact 37 is digitally detected by determining whether the brush contact 37 is in contact with one of the conductive parts or non-conductive parts of the pattern. The digital signal of the digital detection is converted into an analog signal by a D/A converting section 35. This analog signal is inputted to the A/D port 32b of a lens microcomputer 32.
