PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device having a case that has at least a part of surface convexly to the outside and is mountable on other substance with keeping the convex surface directed to the gravity direction, and to provide a status communication apparatus. SOLUTION: A contact sensor 3 contacts the substance and an attitude sensor 31 detects the contact sensor 3 that is directed to the gravity direction. Right-rotating the motor 7 right-rotates a motor rotary shaft 10 in the through-hole 6 of a leg supporting plate 6 to spirally raise. Relatively, the leg supporting plate 6 is lowered until the plate 6 contacts a stopper 12, and legs 21-23 is projected from the case 2. When the status communication apparatus is lifted, the motor 7 is left-rotated since the contact sensor 3 is not detecting the contact to the substance during lifting of the apparatus. Then, the leg supporting plate 6 is moved together with the rotation and raised until the plate 6 contacts the stopper 11, and the legs 21-23 are stored. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
