PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method especially in an established buried steel tank for oil storage relating to the repairing treatment of a buried tank or a ground tank. SOLUTION: The method is to conduct the cleaning via an opening formed on the established buried steel tank for oil storage. The cleaning working comprises bubbling a water diluted detergent (including a surfactant) using an agitator, scattering (incorporating) it on the surface of the buried tank using a washer and continuing the incorporation of the detergent until the bubble becomes white. Then, the water in which the oil content in the buried tank is separated is pumped out and released to the drainage gutter through an oil and water separation tank. Further, the oil content and volatile gas adhering to the surface of the buried tank steel are removed by spraying a water diluted neutralizer to the inner side of the buried tank steel using a hyperbaric pressure washer. The rust, sludge and washing sewage in the buried tank are pumped out and treated totally using a vacuum pump. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
