PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collection cylinder having a UV transmission window of a vacuum cleaner having an improved structure in which its UV germicidal lamp can be protected from getting dirty or broken by collected dusts and its UV germicide in the dust collection cylinder can be effectively carried out and to provide a vacuum cleaner having it. SOLUTION: This dust collection cylinder has a dust collection cylinder body which is detachably attached to a vacuum cleaner main body, a UV transmission window which is formed on and goes through the dust collection cylinder and a teflon cover which seals the UV transmission window. This vacuum cleaner having it has a vacuum cleaner main body, a dust collection cylinder which is detachably attached to the main body, a UV germicidal lamp which is fixed in the main body to radiate UV light to the dust collection cylinder and a grill which protects the UV germicidal lamp.
