PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the driving mechanism of an over looper or an under looper and to enhance its assembly workability, and to enhance the operatability of passing a thread through the under looper. SOLUTION: A hemstitching sewing machine is equipped with a single looper driving shaft 15 rotated and driven by the rotation of a spindle 10, an oscillating motion generating member 18 having a crank pin 19 for oscillating the over looper 22, and an excentric ring 18a for oscillating the under looper and secured to the looper driving shaft 15, a first oscillating link mechanism 25 transmitting the oscillating motion of the crank pin 19 to the over looper 22, a second oscillating mechanism 35 transmitting the oscillating motion of the excentric ring 18a to the under looper 34 via a link member 38, and a switching mechanism 49 switching a posture in a stitching state in which first and second divided link members 39, 40 dividing the link member 38 into two in the mid portion are arranged in a substantial liner shape and a posture in a thread passing state in which the first and second divided link members are bent in a substantial mountain shape in the second oscillating mechanism 35.
