<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a lithographic printing plate material capable of being stably coated with a coating solution by using a bar coating device without being influenced by the composition of the solution without the need of complicated bar control, and a lithographic printing plate material. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the lithographic printing plate material comprises the steps of supplying an excessive amount of the coating solution to the surface of a strip film support transferred continuously, scraping the excessive amount of the coating solution by the bar coating device to form a coating, and drying the coating, and repeating the above steps at least twice to obtain the plate material including a layer provided on the support and containing a particulate matter. The coating solution contains at least one kind of filler and also a solvent of which not less than 60 mass% is water. The bar coating device has a coating auxiliary supply means for supplying a coating auxiliary installed on both ends of the bar, and the coating auxiliary is supplied from the coating auxiliary supply means in an amount of not more than 10 mass% to the supply amount of the coating liquid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
