<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a high level of sealability between an awning frame and an awning cloth in an awning side part with simple and inexpensive structure. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle awning is constituted so that a seal cloth 27 is tightly stretched in an inner side of the peripheral edge part of a side part 22 of the awning cloth 9 in a state to incline so as to gradually deform to the inner side of the awning width direction from a front side in a developing direction of the awning 3 toward the rear side, and abut the seal cloth 27 to a weather strip 41 in a development attitude. When operating from a storage attitude of the awning 3 to the development attitude side, the seal cloth 27 abuts to the weather strip 41, while demonstrating a wedge action, and generates high contact pressure on the abutting part to assure high sealability. On the other side, when operating from the development attitude of the awning to the storage attitude side, the contact pressure between the seal cloth 27 and the weather strip 41 is gradually reduced along with the progress of the operation, the peripheral edge part of the awning cloth 9 is easily separated from the weather strip 41, and the awning storage operation is smoothly performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
