摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery of high capacity which shows excellent charge/discharge performance even in a high temperature environment. <P>SOLUTION: The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises a positive electrode including a nickel-containing lithium composite oxide; a negative electrode capable of being charged/discharged; a separator being between the positive electrode and the negative electrode; and a non-aqueous electrolyte including a non-aqueous solvent in which solutes are dissolved; where the non-aqueous electrolyte includes a fluorine-atom-containing aromatic compound. The nickel-containing lithium composite oxide is expressed by a formula LiNi<SB>x</SB>M<SB>1-x-y</SB>L<SB>y</SB>O<SB>2</SB>, for example, where an element M is at least one element selected from a group composed of Co and Mn, an element L is at least one element selected from a group composed of Al, Sr, Y, Zr, Ta, Mg, Ti, Zn, B, Ca, Cr, Si, Ga, Sn, P, V, Sb, Nb, Mo, W, and Fe, and x and y satisfy formulas 0.1&le;x&le;1, 0&le;y&le;0.1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
