<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a magnetic characteristic higher than that of an existing magnet. <P>SOLUTION: A ring-like rare earth sintered magnet is formed by molding and sintering a material alloy powder containing R (R is at least any one of Y and a rare earth element), T (T is at least one kind of transition metal materials) and B as main components, and is subjected to polar anisotropic orientation when molding. The average grain size of the material alloy powder is 4.1-6.5 μm. The polar anisotropic orientation is preferably performed by application of pulse magnetic field. The external diameter is 7-11 mm.
