<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of enhancing the performance on an icy/snowy road, and at the same time, securing a good straight traveling state. <P>SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire is structured so that main grooves 1 extending in the tire circumferential direction and crosswise grooves 2 coupling together the main grooves 1 are carved in the tread, blocks 3 are formed by the main grooves 1 and the crosswise grooves 2, and that each block 3 is furnished with a width sipe 4 stretching in the tire width direction and a circumferential sipe 5 stretching in the tire circumferential direction, wherein at least one of the circumferential sipes 5 is inclined inward about the tire width direction relative to the tread normal over the area from the sipe bottom to the tread surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
