<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight unit controlling the electric current flowing to a plurality of light emitting diodes constant by using an optical sensor and reducing the size of a printed circuit board, and provide a liquid crystal display device using the same. <P>SOLUTION: A backlight unit of this invention is provided with a plurality of light emitting diode arrays having N (wherein, N is a positive integer) light emitting diodes, a detecting part detecting feedback signals corresponding to the electric current input to the light emitting diode, and a driving part driving the N light emitting diodes according to the feedback signals from the detecting part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
