<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron emission element capable of a stable-quality display, a manufacturing method of the same, and an electro-optical device, as well as an electronic apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A wiring 18 and a wiring 17 are formed on a substrate 11, and a first electrode 24 connected to the wiring 18 and a second electrode 25 connected to the wiring 17 are formed. A first convex part 19 is formed between the first electrode 24 and the second electrode 25, a second convex part 20 is formed on the first convex pat 19. A conductive thin film 14 is formed on the second convex part 20 to be connected to the first electrode 24 and the second electrode 25, and an electron emission part 13 is formed on a conductive thin film 14.
