<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide on-vehicle equipment which can be used for a plurality of vehicles with one set of main part of on-vehicle equipment. <P>SOLUTION: A holder ID is read from a memory 114 of on-vehicle equipment holder 3 to a temporary memory and at an on-vehicle equipment main part 2 side in setup processing, vehicle information is read from a setup card to the temporary memory. Then, the holder ID and the vehicle information which are read to the temporary memory are saved by a set (or associated) to a table in the memory 14. Consequently, a set of holder ID and vehicle information is saved and this kind of processing is repeated, thereby, a plurality of sets of holder ID and vehicle information are saved in the table in the memory 14. A user who owns a plurality of vehicles is only required to have only one on-vehicle equipment main part 2 if the on-vehicle equipment 3 corresponding to the number of vehicles are prepared and fixed to respective vehicles since the one on-vehicle equipment main part 2 can be repeatedly used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
