PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool mounting device for a turning center which is capable of clamping and fixing a rotary tool 1A by a shared clamp mechanism 8, and also, capable of firmly clamping and fixing a turning tool 1B in a state of engaging and locking the turning tool 1B. SOLUTION: The tool mounting device for a turning device is composed as follows. The turning center is composed of the shared clamp mechanism 8. A cylinder device 9 as a draw-bar driving device 9 of the clamp mechanism 8 has a releasing position (a), a first clamping position (b), and a second clamping position (c). When the cylinder device is set at the first clamping position (b), the rotary tool 1A is clamped and fixed by daringly allowing a space between a locking part 12 and a bearing part 13 to have a rotation allowable gap 14. When the cylinder device is set at the second clamping position (c) and a load is applied by bringing the bearing part 13 into contact with the locking part 12 by further driving an advance/retreat driving part 11 by an amount equivalent to the rotation allowable gap 14, the advance/retreat driving part 11 is engaged and locked by a wedge mechanism 18 at a position in a return movement preventing state that return movement of a draw bar 7 is prevented by the bearing and locking of the locking part 12 with the bearing part 13.
