PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric device and manufacturing method thereof, invented in consideration of defects, in which productivity can be improved by obtaining a desired oscillation frequency and simplifying assembly steps. SOLUTION: In the piezoelectric device, a piezoelectric vibrating element is packaged in an internal space of a rectangular container, and a rectangular lid covering an opening of the container is disposed on the top of a side wall of the container. In a piezoelectric vibrator, the lid and a conductor pattern provided on the top of the side wall are fixed and the piezoelectric vibrating element within the container is air-tightly sealed. In the piezoelectric vibrator, the container is formed from a low-temperature burnt substrate, and a packaging pad for packaging the piezoelectric vibrating element formed in the container is a low-resistance metal.
