PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slime generation preventive tool effective even if using a chemical of high safety for eliminating or reducing the generation of gas. SOLUTION: This slime generation preventive tool 1 is arranged in a drain port 3, and prevents the generation of slime in the drain port 3, and has a vessel 5 for storing the chemical 4 for checking the formation of a biofilm. This vessel 5 is composed of a tray 6 for placing the chemical 4 and a cover 7 for covering this tray. While the cover 7 has an inflow hole 8 of water flowing in the vessel 5 to dissolve the chemical 4, the tray 6 has an outflow hole 8 of a chemical dissolving liquid flowing out of the inside of the vessel 5 in a position lower than the inflow hole 8. The tray 6 is also constituted to stay a part of the chemical 4 dissolved by the water flowing first in the vessel 5 in a state of not making the water flow in the vessel 5.
