PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyclin-dependent kinase (Cdk5) specific inhibitor having high specificity to Cdk5, without inhibiting other cyclin-dependent kinases. SOLUTION: A Cdk5 specific inhibitory peptide comprises a specific amino acid sequence or an amino acid sequence constituted so that one or several amino acids in the specific amino acid sequence are subjected to deletion, substitution, or addition. Further, the Cdk5 specific inhibitory peptide is preferably constituted so that a transcellular peptide comprising 5 to 15 arginines is coupled with an N-terminal of the above peptide.
