<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary seal for powder for improving sealing performance for powder without increasing sliding resistance caused when a seal lip slides with a peripheral surface. <P>SOLUTION: The rotary seal 1 for powder seals annular clearance formed by a casing 2 and a rotary shaft 3 which relatively rotate, and includes a fixed seal portion 21 connected to a reinforcing circle 10 press-fitted in the peripheral surface of the casing 2, and the seal lip 31 coming into sealing contact with the peripheral surface of the rotary shaft 3 over the whole circumference so as to slide on a lip edge 32.
