<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processor capable of preventing power from being uselessly consumed by controlling power feeding as to whether a communication coil of a storage medium can receive the feeding of power from the processor and a data signal from the communication coil of the processor while suppressing the application of constraint on design to the storage medium. <P>SOLUTION: Useless power consumption can be suppressed because the feeding of power is stopped when the card side communication coil 33 of an IC card 30 cannot receive the data signal from the communication coil 13 at the processor side. Since whether the card side communication coil 33 of the IC card 30 can receive the data signal from the communication coil 13 at the processor side can be detected on the basis of the carrier frequency of the data signal from the communication coil 13 at the processor side, the IC card 30 does not have to be formed with a hole or the like, and constraint on design is not applied to the IC card 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
