<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reduction in cycle characteristics by solving problems that obstruct a charge and discharge reaction, and in which charge and discharge cycles are deteriorated because side reactions of an electrolytic solution and an alloy material surface are increased and components formed during its reaction process exist in the vicinity of the alloy surface due to increase of a surface area of a negative electrode active material containing Si by swelling at the time of charging in a nonqueous electrolyte secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: This is the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which contains a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and the nonaqueous electrolyte capable of reversibly storing and releasing lithium. This is the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery in which the negative electrode active material is composed of at least different two phases, which has an A phase consisting mainly of Si, and a B phase composed of an intermetallic compound of a transition metal element and Si, in which either the A phase or the B phase or both are consisting of fine crystals or amorphous, and which contains at least one selected from fatty acids, their salts, or their anhydrides having one or more double bonds in the negative electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
