<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous ink for an inkjet printer, which shows a good long-term shelf stability and discharge stability from a nozzle and forms an image with a good fixability. <P>SOLUTION: The aqueous ink for the inkjet printer contains a colorant, a resin, a water-soluble organic solvent and water, wherein the colorant is a water-insoluble colorant and the resin is a polymer obtained by hydrolyzing a carboxylate group in a polymer having a carboxylate group.
