<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method which solves problems liable to occur in a counter developing system and allows stable formation of a high definition digital image, particularly to provide an image forming method which prevents fogging and toner flying-off liable to occur in a counter developing system, prevents occurrence of image unevenness due to end density lowering, and allows production of an electrophotographic image having high image density and good color reproducibility, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming method, an electrostatic latent image is formed on a cylindrical organic photoreceptor and a cylindrical developing sleeve bearing a toner-containing developer is brought into contact with the organic photoreceptor to develop the electrostatic latent image into a toner image, wherein a surface layer of the organic photoreceptor contains a compound represented by formula (1) and the electrostatic latent image is developed into the toner image by rotating the developing sleeve in a direction counter to a rotation direction of the rotating organic photoreceptor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
