<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a light emitting diode has variance in final luminance even when constant control is performed over a current by a current limiting resistance or a forward voltage is selected. <P>SOLUTION: The light emitting diode is constituted by mounting a light emitting diode chip on a substrate, and forming a resistor connected to the light emitting diode chip in series or parallel on the same substrate. A photodetecting device 111 detects light emission luminance of the light emitting diode chip 101, and the current limiting resistance 102 is trimmed with laser irradiation light 113 from a laser device 112 until constant luminance is obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
