<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify installation of a radio communication apparatus as a relay terminal or a terminal or the like in a radio communication system such as a wireless sensor system. <P>SOLUTION: Upon the receipt of a test input by a button operation or the like, a newly installed terminal B broadcasts a test signal. An existing terminal A receiving the test signal unicasts a reply signal corresponding to the test signal. When a test signal transmission side receives the reply signal, the test signal transmission side discriminates whether or not the communication environment is suitable for communication on the basis of a reception strength level and the S/N or the like and displays a result of the discrimination. Thus, even a contractor not being a radio technology expert can easily discriminate the communication quality of an installed location and can execute the installation for providing excellent communication quality. Further, since the communication state is discriminated through communication between adjacent terminals, when the reply signal is recognized by a plurality of terminals adopting the multi-hop system, it can correctly be recognized as to whether or not the reply signal originates from the test signal coming from its own terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
