<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem reported that the sleep apnea syndromes recently becomes social issues as one of lifestyle-related illnesses, if not adequately treated, gradually causing the hypertrophy of the heart or the brain disorder, not allowing the sufferer to have a sound sleep, causing an automobile driver or a train driver in nervous work in the daytime to have a high rate of accident and having no fundamental cure despite of recognition of the mechanism; although, as the symptomatic treatment, losing weight and lying on the side for the head are recommended, the sufferer cannot lie sideward in the same direction in all nighttime, naturally turning over, which brings no improvement; a person with loudly snoring tends to get the angina pectoris. <P>SOLUTION: The health pillow makes the head always sideward in either way by only a change of a pillow form even when turning over is unintentionally conducted. A protrusive part formed of a rigid expanded material on the approximately middle part of the pillow and a cover consisting of a member for comfortably sleeping and covering the pillow make the head always sideward in either way and the user improve the sleep apnea and have the sound sleep. To periodically and forcefully make a sideward state, if a roller making the protrusive form and a mechanism for making the roller automatically and sideward roll at an interval of 20-30 min are provided, always making the sideward state effectively improves the sleep apnea syndromes and provides the person troubled about the loudly snoring with a large effect as well. Shaping the pillow into a trough style obtains the effect at low costs.
