SUPERCONDUCTING CURRENT LIMITING PART

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing by a simple and cheap method superconducting current limiting parts equipped with a shunt which forms a sufficiently high electric field along a superconducting material in a short time during a short circuit. SOLUTION: The superconducting current limiting parts contain a coil 1 made of a ceramic high temperature superconducting material. A second coil 3 is provided around outer surfaces of the coil 1 as the shunt. And, especially here the coil 1 made of the ceramic high temperature superconducting material is provided on a hollow cylindrical body made of the ceramic high temperature superconducting material.
