PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and a recording control method in which image disturbance caused by overlapping of dots is prevented without taking a considerable period of time for recording. SOLUTION: A first dot 102 and a second dot 112 are formed in an overlapping manner. First, an ink droplet 100 having a diameter of D1a is ejected to form the first dot 102. After a predetermined time period elapses, the ink droplet 100 permeats into recording paper with the diameter of the surface of the recording paper becoming D1b. In this state, an ink droplet 110 is ejected to form a second dot 112 whereby the ink droplet 100 and the ink droplet 110 do not mix. As the ink permeated into the recording paper 16 is held in the receiving layer within the recording paper, the mixing of ink does not occur even within the recording paper. Accordingly, the desired dot formation can be obtained. Further, printing can be managed without speed reduction as the ink droplet 110 can be ejected without waiting for the ink droplet 100 to be completely permeated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
