PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make high collation precision in face collation and simplicity of seeing a face picture displayed on a display unit coexist with each other. SOLUTION: This monitoring device is provided with a near-infrared camera 11 for acquiring images of near-infrared light, a visible light camera 12 for acquiring pictures of visible light, a storage 26 in which face drawn by near-infrared light and face drawn by visible light are stored for each specific person being related to each other, a person determination portion 23 for determining whether or not the person in a picture of near-infrared light taken by the near-infrared camera 11 is a specific person, and a display unit 32 for displaying a face picture of a specific person. Determination is performed by collating a face picture obtained by pictures of near-infrared light acquired by the near-infrared camera 11 with a face picture of near-infrared light stored in the storage 26, when it is determined whether or not the person is a specific person.
