PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer device and an imaging device, capable of preventing wasteful electric power consumption. SOLUTION: This data transfer device has: a DMA bus control means performing transfer control of data between a plurality of circuits sharing a DMA transfer part having a data bus; and a clock control means controlling a clock frequency in the DMA transfer part. The clock control means has: a clock number setting means setting the number of clocks per unit time necessary for the data transfer between the circuits; and a clock frequency setting means setting the clock frequency of the data transfer in the DMA transfer part on the basis of a total value of the numbers of the clocks between the circuits set by the clock number setting means.
