PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus with a fixing apparatus equipped with a cleaning member for a fixing belt which is low cost and easily attached. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with the fixing apparatus with a fixing belt hung on a fixed sliding member which is a heating means and a fixing roller. A toner image is fixed on transfer material by having the transfer material carrying an unfixed toner image held and transported in a nip part formed between the fixing roller and a pressurizing roller through the fixing belt.
