PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a protective member for electronic equipment which enables the handy and inexpensive molding of the protective member for protecting electronic equipment with a display window adapted to make a display part visually recognizable through it by integrally arranging a transparent window part with higher surface smoothness and excellent transparency and a decoration part with a three-dimensional complicated shape and the protective member for electronic equipment obtained by the method. SOLUTION: In the production method of the protective member 1 for electronic equipment, when the protective member 1 for electronic equipment containing the transparent window part and the decoration part with the three-dimensional shape is produced, cavity spaces 33 within dice 31 and 32 are injection filled with a molten thermoplastic resin 35 and then, the transparent window part and the decoration part are molded integrally with the thermoplastic resin 35 by an injection compression molding method for the compression shaping of the cavity spaces 33 so that the average thickness of the decoration part is less than that of the transparent window part.
