PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing float preventing a damage from a boundary part between a sinker part and a body part and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The fishing float 1 has an external shape that is formed in an egg shape in which the vertical width (height) is larger than the right and left width (diameter) and a lower side from the center of top and bottom is formed in the largest diameter. A spherical inner layer part 1b to become a weight part is formed in the inside of a part made in the largest diameter of the fishing float 1 and a first outer layer part (inside layer )1c, a second outer layer part (middle layer) 1d and a third outer layer part (outside layer) 1e are formed successively by mold molding on the outside of the inner layer part 1b. The material of the inner layer part 1b used is a synthetic resin material having a specific gravity higher than water (1.0 specific gravity) and≤2.5. The material of the outer layer part surrounding the inner layer part 1b is formed from a synthetic resin material having a specific gravity lower than that of the inner layer part 1b and equal to or lower than the specific gravity of water (1.0 specific gravity).
