<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic rack tag system capable of being used by changing the direction of disposition of one electronic rack tag vertically or horizontally. <P>SOLUTION: The direction of characters as commodity data can be rotated at 90 degrees on a display screen by changing the image data displayed in each electronic rack tag 5 in the electronic rack tag system. Accordingly, even if the direction of disposition of the electronic rack tag 5 is changed horizontally or vertically, the characters can be disposed in a normal direction as language by rotating the direction of characters displayed in the electronic rack tag 5.
