PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of providing stable steering feeling by absorbing an influence of motor characteristics, friction of a power transmission system, etc. SOLUTION: This electric power steering device on which driving force of an assist motor assists steering force is furnished with a torque sensor 20 to detect steering torque T, a vehicle speed sensor 25 to detect vehicle speed (v), a steering angle detection means 33 to detect a steering angleθof steering, an angular velocity computing means 34 to compute angular velocityωof steering from the steering angleθdetected by the steering angle detection means 33, a target angular velocity setting processing means 31 to set target angular velocityωm by computing it in accordance with the steering torque T detected by the torque sensor 20, the vehicle speed (v) detected by the vehicle speed sensor 25 and the steering angleθdetected by the steering angle setting and processing means 33 and an angular velocity feedback control means 35 to drive and control the assist motor so that a difference between the target angular velocityωm set by the target angular velocity setting and processing means 31 and the angular velocityωcomputed by the angular velocity computing means 34 becomes 0.
